Working out of her studio in Greater Vancouver, Colleen hand makes each piece with care and attention to craftsmanship. Much of her jewellery is made of recycled silver and using eco friendly alternative in her studio.
BIO
Colleen Baran is a Canadian multidisciplinary artist who has exhibited in galleries and museums in 11 countries and been published in a few more.
She's been published in 16 books internationally. Recent publications include the book ‘Jewelry Design Challenge, by Linda Kopp (Lark Books) and '500 Plastic' (also Lark Books).
Upcoming in 2011 she'll be published in the books 'New Rings: 500+ Designs from Around the World' by Nicolas Estrada (Barcelona Spain), ‘Ring a Day edited by Marthe le Van and 'Found Object Works' by Heather Skowood.
Additionally she’s won awards for jewellery and photography- also both locally and internationally.
